Gareth Bale set to defy Zidane by fighting on at Real Madrid

Hanging around: Bale wants to stay with Real

GARETH BALE is happy at Real Madrid and has no desire to leave the club in the summer, his agent has claimed.

Wales international Bale has reportedly fallen out of favour with coach Zinedine Zidane and has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Manchester United, as well as former club Tottenham.

But his agent Jonathan Barnett said: ‘Gareth is fine, he is still a Real player with three years left on his contract.

‘He has always been clear about that. And if he is picked he will play. You would have to ask Mr Zidane what he wants to do, but Gareth will keep trying.’

Bale has hit 14 goals in 42 games for Real this season but Zidane reportedly wants the 29-year-old’s estimated weekly wage of £350,000 after tax off the books at the Bernabeu Stadium.
