Garden raider is a white cheeky scamp

SOME British gardens have been carpeted in snow this week but the patch of white on one family’s lawn turned out to be a rare albino squirrel.

The cheeky visitor was seen raiding bird feeders by dad-of-two Simon Pimblett in North Dulwich, south London.

The finance researcher kept his camera ready on the kitchen table after first glimpsing it a fortnight ago. When it returned on Saturday morning, he captured this spectacular image.

‘I was indoors shooting and it came right up to the patio doors,’ Mr Pimblett said.

‘The grey squirrels we get are bold as brass, and they’ve learnt to live around humans, but the white one is much more nervous.

‘It would have been nice if it had mixed with the others but it seemed to keep itself to itself.’ swns
