TWO teens gave each other a fist bump after stabbing an 18-year-old to death, a court heard.
William Haines, 18, and a 17-year-old are accused of murdering Yusuf Mohamed outside a convenience store in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, on June 26 last year. Yusuf (pictured) was targeted ‘for no obvious reason’, the Old Bailey heard. Haines stabbed his victim in the heart with a 6in blade and the 17-year-old knifed him in the leg, the court was told. Yusuf died later that night.
Bill Emlyn Jones, prosecuting, said Yusuf ‘had no time to run away. He had no time to protect himself. He stood no chance’. He added: ‘As the two young men ran away, tucking their knives out of sight, you will see on CCTV, they gave each other a fist bump as if to say “well done us”.’
The 17-year-old has admitted manslaughter and having a knife. Both men deny murder and Haines denies possessing a knife. The trial continues.
