HOLLYWOOD A-listers Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy celebrated their daughter’s high school graduation — just weeks after the actress admitted fiddling the teenager’s test results to get her into college.
Desperate Housewives star Huffman, 56, and Shameless actor Macy, 69, were at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre as their daughter Sophia Grace, 18, performed with classmates from the LA County High School for the Arts.
Huffman is one of several high-profile parents involved in the US college entrance exam cheating scandal.
In March, she admitted paying an agent $15,000 to correct wrong answers on Sophia’s SATs.
She pleaded guilty to mail fraud and is due to be sentenced in September. Her husband was not charged.
Macy was seen recently out in LA with a pair of balloons with ‘Congrats Grad!’ and ‘You Did It!’ on them.
At Monday’s graduation event, he and his wife kept a low profile, with the family leaving the theatre via a loading bay.
Entertainment Tonight has reported that Sophia — unaware of her mother’s actions — is going to take a break and will not enrol in college immediately.
The teenager and her sister Georgia, 17, are said to be doing well and ‘trying to keep their routines’ as they support their mother. ‘They are planning a lot of quality family time,’ a source said. ‘The girls are very close to their mom and dad, and will do anything they can to be there for her.’
