THE Duchess of Cambridge was among the crown jewels at Garter Day yesterday as she and European royals stepped out in style.
Kate joined the Countess of Wessex, Duchess of Cornwall, the Spanish monarch’s wife Queen Letizia and Queen Maxima, wife of the Dutch king — at the Windsor Castle event.
And the five proved real headturners in their elegant hats — even amid the lavish velvet robes and pomp and pageantry of the annual service, which attracted hundreds of spectators.
Spanish King Felipe VI and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands were being installed by the Queen as companions of the Order of the Garter, the most senior order of knighthood in Britain.
Kate looked on in a Catherine Walker coat and Lock & Co hat, Camilla donned an Anna Valentine coat and Philip Treacy hat and Sophie wore a Suzannah dress and Jane Taylor hat. Letizia wore a chic silk dress and black fascinator while Maxima cut a dash in a blush pink caped frock and hat.
