NATHAN JONES celebrated his first win as Stoke boss by admitting leaders Leeds’ ‘spygate’ saga played into the Potters’ hands. Sam Clucas (pictured) and Joe Allen scored for Stoke after Jones changed tactics following Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa’s revelations about the depth of his analysis of opponents. ‘We thought we may have to give him a surprise,’ said Jones. ‘We had to be tactically right.’
Oli relishes the Swans’ grace
LEEDS-born Oli McBurnie did his home club a big favour with Swansea’s winner over Sheffield United. ‘It was a typical Swansea goal with the boys playing excellent football,’ said McBurnie after his 11th of the season. ‘Those are always the nice ones.’

INTERIM boss Mick Harford hailed Luton’s players for their reaction to Nathan Jones’ departure after they thumped Peterborough 4-0. ‘They’ve been totally professional and I take my hat off to them,’ said Harford. Luton are now just a point behind leaders Portsmouth.
