A ‘GRINNING’ delivery driver threw rocks at passing cars while on his rounds — hitting one motorist in the face, a court heard.
Glynn Williams deliberately shattered the windscreens of passing vehicles, causing injury to at least two drivers.
One victim, Jennie Ivinson, was in her car near Cranbrook, Kent, with her two children in August 2015 when a missile struck her in the face. The attack left her with swelling which took three weeks to heal. Another victim said she had seen Williams grinning before he hurled a rock through her windscreen. Maidstone crown court was told Williams targeted victims around Cranbrook while delivering parcels between January and September 2015.
Williams, of Dartford, denied all charges but was convicted on Friday of two assaults and 14 counts of criminal damage endangering life. The 37-year-old was remanded in custody and will be sentenced later.
Pc Lee Oakley said after the case: ‘We will probably never know what compelled him to commit these offences. It is no exaggeration to say someone could quite easily have been killed.’
