AN OFFICE worker bit off more than he could chew when he opened a bag of crisps — and pulled out one six inches long.

Auditor Daniel Heginbotham picked up the £1 packet of sweet chilli crisps from Morrisons on his way to work last week.

Mr Heginbotham, 44, from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, said: ‘I pulled it out and it kept going — it was the biggest crisp I had ever seen seen. I went and got a tape measure and it was six inches long.’

Mr Heginbotham called his colleagues over to see his giant snack, and then locked it away ‘in case somebody crushed it’. He now plans to put it on display in a case. ‘I’m not saying it’s the biggest ever, but you never know,’ he said. ‘Everybody wants to find a big crisp, don’t they?’
