TRIBUTES have been paid to a Mexican wrestler and film actor after he died of a suspected heart attack in the ring.
Cesar Barron, who was known as Silver King and appeared with Jack Black in the film Nacho Libre, died during a bout at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London on Saturday.
In phone footage posted by fans, the 51-year-old collapses and is kicked by his opponent as he struggles to his feet before being pinned to the canvas. He lays motionless as the bout ends.
Fans thought it was part of his act until medics raced to his aid. He was pronounced dead in the ring. Camden Council will investigate today.
Black said ‘go with God, brother’, while fellow wrestler X-Pac added: ‘He truly was one of the greats.’
