A DRIVER who ran out of fuel on the motorway hopped on a motorised scooter and crossed four lanes of traffic to get to a garage.
The 24-year-old man was caught by police who shared pictures of the car and the scooter on Twitter.
‘M11, the vehicle on the right runs out of fuel on a motorway,’ wrote Essex roads policing unit.
‘The driver decides to get his motorised scooter out the boot and ride the wrong way down the motorway and run across 4 lanes of traffic to get to a garage.
‘I am lost for words! Court awaits.’
The driver, from Ilford, east London, took the ‘reckless’ action after having to pull over in his silver Toyota Avensis on the M11 near Loughton. He has been reported for careless driving and having no insurance.
