Chicken McThugget: Police bump into wanted suspect in fast food joint

OFFICERS nipping into McDonald’s for a coffee were stunned when they bumped into one of their most wanted suspects.

Jackson Hickey, 46, was arrested in the fast food restaurant the day after police in Surrey launched an appeal to find him.

Officers ‘let him finish his coffee’ then hauled him off to prison for a breach of licence conditions, before joking about the arrest on Twitter.

Surrey Police said: ‘Earlier today a couple of our officers popped into McDonald’s in Walton and who should we see there but wanted man Jackson Hickey — who we asked for your help finding yesterday.

‘We let him finish his coffee, and he’s back off to prison on recall. #ImLovinIt.’

Hickey (pictured above) was nicked yesterday, just one day after police released his mugshot to track him down.

The public had also been warned not to approach Hickey, who was arrested in plush Walton-on-Thames.

A force spokesman added: ‘Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal to locate Jackson Hickey, who was wanted on recall to prison.’
