Busty friends launch uplifting brand for the well-endowed

A PAIR of busty best friends frustrated at being unable to find sexy lingerie have set up shop to cater for well-endowed women.

Alice Holden, who is 25 and wears a 30GG bra, and Fleurette Mulcahy, 24 and 28FF/G, have both struggled to find bras to fit and grew sick of unflattering underwear.

So the pair, who met while studying geography at King’s College London, decided to set up Attollo Lingerie — which means ‘lift up’ in Latin.

Ms Holden, from Reigate, Surrey, said: ‘We used to talk to each other about the problems we had buying lingerie and would get excited about new products or new lines, only for them to be rubbish.

‘We’d both been a D+ since the age of 14 and we were so fed up of feeling self-conscious and frumpy. It feels like a right as a woman to be able to buy lingerie you feel confident in, and we had never had that.’

They began researching their business idea while at university, then took it up full-time after graduation.

‘We got a start-up loan which paid for samples, and after fundraising for a year we got our first investor,’ said Ms Holden.

The brand launched online last week, with bras priced from £40. They are also planning bra-fitting parties.

‘We’ve had amazing feedback,’ said Ms Holden. ‘We had £15,000 of reservations and it’s just been sale after sale. Our ambitions are limitless and wherever boobs need support, we want to be there.’
