A CHILDREN’S book written 31 years ago has finally been published — after the author uncovered the original pages while tidying her house.
Annetta Steel wrote Little Miss Daisy And Her Four Seasons in 1989 for her youngest son Mark, now 34, and his pre-school class.
But the retired nurse forgot about it until the spruce-up in Fort William, in the Highlands.
Husband John encouraged her to send the manuscript to Stockwell Publishers — and they turned it into an illustrated 20-page paperback.
Annetta said: ‘Back in the day we had a playgroup here and I wrote it to help the little ones understand about the four seasons of the year. I read it to the wee boy next door and he was asking about daisies and different months of the year, so I know it still appeals to young ones today.’
