THIS is the moment traffic was brought to a standstill by a mass stampede of thousands of ducks.
The video shows the feathery flock crossing the road in the busy city of Alaphuzza in Kerala, Southern India.
Onlookers said the birds were being taken to a nearby field by a farmer, when they accidentally parted ways and blocked the paths of busy residents on their daily commute to work.
Normal business was resumed five minutes later — after all the birds had waddled off.
Some found the sight funny, with one eyewitness saying: ‘Look at the birds marching together, they have more decorum than us humans.’
The ducks were eventually moved on to a paddy field where they were able to enjoy some space all to themselves.
