DRAKE has been crowned the king of Spotify after becoming the platform’s most-streamed artist of the year globally.
Spotify announced the rapper was listened to 8.2billion times over the last 12 months. Behind the Canadian, the most popular artists of the year were Post Malone, XXXTentacion, J Balvin and Ed Sheeran.
No women made the top five but Ariana Grande ranked the highest among the female artists, followed by Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Taylor Swift and Camila Cabello.
Drake also has the year’s most-streamed album and song with Scorpion and God’s Plan.
Sad! by rapper XXXTentacion, who was murdered in Florida in June, came second.
Post Malone has the third and fourth most-streamed songs with Rockstar and Psycho.
