A CHEF who stabbed his neighbour in the heart after a row continued washing up after the killing, a court heard.
Adam Grant, 28, claimed he was scared by Martin Wyatt banging on his door after an argument about rubbish and loud music.
He picked up an 8in knife and lunged at 32-year-old Mr Wyatt, plunging the blade into his chest.
Bradford crown court in West Yorkshire heard Grant then went back to his washing up, wiped the knife and put the blade back in its pouch.
He told police he had acted in self defence.
Grant was jailed for 12 years for the killing in Halifax last September. He had been cleared of murder but the same jury found him guilty of manslaughter on Tuesday.
