A CREW member died and two others were missing at sea after an explosion on an oil tanker in Hong Kong yesterday.
The Vietnam-registered tanker burst into flames as it prepared to refuel off the city’s southern coast.
Police said the force of the blast threw the 25 crew members into the water and left the 460ft-long tanker at a 30-degree angle. The refuelling barge was destroyed.
It is thought the blaze started in the cargo hold. The tanker was en route to its home port in Thailand.
